Replacing the usual heels with sand between my toes as The Blonde Silhouette goes coastal. With all the gorgeous weather and glorious public holidays, Erin Smith Photography and I packed a few of our cutest accessories and headed south for some relaxation, Byron Bay style. Perhaps it was the swirled ocean-like pattern (seen in my new DFO Jindalee purchase) that lead me to the water, but either way bare feet, salty water and ocean breezes had me escaping the stress of the city and embracing my inner water spirit.

Dream a little dream, I find myself wishing for that shiny black envelope embossed with the Vogue signature, inviting me to a fabulous party with a superstar guest list…and then one day it arrives, in the form of #theonetheonly Spring Summer Fashion Launch presented by Vogue Australia (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram) and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram). Suddenly I’m fangirling (HARD) spying Tara Moss and Edwina McCann a mere 5 metres away from me, with Samantha Harris looming above mid strut down the runway…it’s a little bit exciting.

Finding that perfect outfit is always the dilemma faced by fashionista’s alike. We don’t all have access to that envied celebrity stylist or a fairy godmother to whip out some styling magic, but this Cinderella kept it classic in a LBD. A little organza, a little sheer and a touch of satin and I’m feeling rather fancy in my Koogal Poison Black Sheer Back Dress. It’s sexy- which is definitely out of my comfort zone, however the high neck and full bodied skirt maintains my conservative nature. Of course these events are not nearly as much fun without someone lovely to share it with, so I took my number one girl, the fabulous Erin Smith Photography. There’s something so mystical about a forgotten forest, shaded by dense trees and harbouring fresh pine cones. Weaving through the trees and sprinkling a shimmery dust along my pathway, I fell into a serene fantasy, as though I had opened the door to a deserted Narnia. Replacing the feared Snow Queen, I am a forest fair maiden, surrendering to furry printed sweaters and luxe leatherette skirts. Flirting with the golden sun, I am mesmerised at how the sunlight emphasises the pleated pattern in my skirt as I twirl. Picking up rose gold shimmers, my Swarovski earrings glisten against my porcelain skin, a treasure amongst the forestry.
