And just as Alice found herself down the rabbit hole, I find myself transported to a similar magical reality. Surrounded by lush greenery, blooming buds and a quaint little arbour, I am reminded of one of my favourite childhood movies, The Secret Garden. Almost as if I had anticipated this little sanctuary, I’m styling a tea dress in a vibrant floral canvas, and a matching pair of pumps.

Unlike my blonde Disney counterpart, I am keeping a very keen eye on my Skagen timepiece to ensure I keep things punctual, and arrive home just in time for supper. The only other sparkle to feature in this look, is the understatedly chic pair of earrings that adorn my earlobes, as I intend to emphasis the same bold print I am wearing. Should any mad hatters approach me, I am well equipped for a spot of tea and senseless celebration!

It goes without saying, I’ve had blushing nude tones on my mind while putting together this week’s little shopping edit. More than just about neutrals, I find blushing nude tones to be inherently feminine and flattering on just about any complexion. If you’re yet to add a little nude colour into your wardrobe, then now’s the perfect time to start.

This particular edit plays on the notion of romance and bohemian royalty, hence the title Bohemian Queen. The star of this edit is undoubtedly the Zimmermann Henna Floating Fringe Dress, with it’s detailed and delicate lace fabric and free flowing structure. The subtle pink undertones are best teamed with rose gold accessories, so I’ve picked out an assortment of rosy jewels!

Bohemian Romance

Weekends often call for a quick dash out of the city and in my case, a touch of wilderness. Know the feeling? Throwing myself into the heart of the jungle, well Tamborine Mt Botanical Gardens, I felt so free dancing around in the natural light, and listening to the sounds of the forest. Of course I anticipated such whimsical events, so I fittingly dressed for the occasion, opting for a luxe boho look.

This Bardot Coachella Maxi allows for plenty of skirt swirling and playful exploration, with it’s delicate cotton fabric and ethereal nature. The bold print creates a vibrant and exciting spirit, and it’s earthy colour palette lends itself to a little splash of rose gold jewellery, my ultimate fav!

You can take the girl out of city, but you can’t take the city out of the girl, as I prefer to keep the heels on as I tiptoe down the garden path. What can I say, I’m a little more gypsy princess than just gypsy 😉

Becoming A Beauty Queen with Lulu&Lipstick!

A familiar saying, often goes that a workman should never blame his tools for the result of bad job, but then I highly doubt Michael Angelo painted the Sistine Chapel with a cheap set of brushes. In the beauty world, poor quality tools can perpetuate very bad results. I’m sure I’m not the only beauty enthusiast that has missed the mark and ended up with a makeup faux pas, due to her tools. Arriving to The Blonde Silhouette HQ in beautiful pink packaging, came the Lulu and Lipstick Travel Brush Set, and like any beauty queen, I instantly fell in love! Smitten with the blush pink handle, gold hardware and matching gold travel case, I was instantly reminded these aren’t your standard makeup brushes, these are special, decadent, pristine! If Queen Tay Tay did her own makeup, she’d be using these very brushes to apply it. While these are a beautifully packaged product, they are of beautiful quality, debuting a soft, fluffy texture that feels incredible against my skin! They are also 100% vegan and cruelty free, so there’s no guild involved pre or post application!
