As young Alice left the garden eagerly chasing the silhouette of the White Rabbit, the Black Hearted Queen and the White Rose Duchess sat down to a devastatingly dark and delicious, Violet Tea Party.
A sunday afternoon tea party with a strict “dark, fantasy” dress code, captured the styling of dramatic length, structurally ornate forms and luxury multi textures, seen in pieces from Jessica Tovey’s Spring 13 and Fall 13 collections. Magnificent cream and black statement floral crowns by Blossom Headpieces and Accessories sat atop of wild, lively tresses and chic, sleek do’s, showcasing the hairstyling of talented fashion hairdresser, Faith Williams. With perfected porcelain complexions and wine stained lips by Chelsea Marks MUA, a feminine, doll like presence juxtaposed the dark and slightly gothic styling. Adorning the wrists of the models were matte black and pearl stranded bracelets by Cotton & Co, enhancing the beauty and femininity within the dark theme.
With only two place settings for the afternoon delight, the alter-ego’s sat opposite one another and quarrelled violently over lavender black laced cupcakes by Babycakes Boutique, destroying vintage bone china and tarnishing silverware in their heated argument. Following their violet soiree, the two alter-ego’s took to a deserted alleyway, asserting their dominance and claiming the territory as their own. Dark and demure personalities surfaced, all of which were captured secretly by savvy photographer Yolanda from BNEStyle.
