Spring Is Calling

It might be the first day of Australia’s winter season, but I’m feeling like a Spring Fling Queen in my new Quirky Circus frock. Featuring a muted colour palette of mint and pastel, this floral number is light and fresh, allowing for a beautiful contrast against a chunky knit or cardigan. This little Stella Furry Cardi reminds me of a cross between Clueless’s IT girl, Cher and a marshmallow, so naturally I had to buy it (plus it happens to be on sale- mega win!)

If you love jewellery as much as I do, you’ll notice that I’m wearing some stunning Pandora pieces from The Magic of Nature Collection. Designed in Copenhagen, Pandora is renowned for creating pieces that cherish the most remarkable moments. Having collected Pandora jewellery over the years, I look into my own jewellery box and see a beautiful story unfolding, capturing moments I am most proud of; my first university graduation, a solo trip to the USA, a pendant representing my grandmother’s love – these are invaluable keepsakes for me.

I can appreciate the artistry that goes into each individual piece, which is expertly crafted by a dedicated team in Thailand from the finest, high quality materials of 14ct gold and sterling silver. The beautiful gemstones, cubic zirconia stones, opals and white freshwater cultured pearls are set individually by hand, emphasising their uniqueness and delicacy.

Au Revoir Summer!

After 90 days of sizzling hot temperatures, it appears summer is finally over! With a love for the cold, I couldn’t be more excited for winter’s arrival and the prospects of warm roasty nights near the fireplace, layering and many hot chocolates (marshmallows please!)

Nevertheless, on the 90th day of summer I said Au Revoir to the fabulous season just been while wearing a flirty floral crop and midi duo by Quirky Circus– one of my favourite Australian brands! As I love a little Parisian/European influence, I teamed this ladylike ensemble with my brand new boater hat from Lack of Color. Not usually one to wear hats, I couldn’t go past this little accessory, given its stylish and sun safe appeal. After all, I have to protect my porcelain skin and if it means looking chic while doing so, then it’s a win win as I see it!

With an afternoon spent in an impeccably manicured corner of the city, Erin Smith Photography and I watched the final summer sunset, starting our brainstorming for the chilly season ahead and while excitement brims creativity, I can confidently say….keep your eyes firmly set on this page, coz baby we’ll be bringing the fire!

Hello Feb!

Happy February 1st Fashionista’s! Here’s to the start of an exciting month. Some of you are celebrating the first day of the last month of summer with a mojito. Other’s are getting ready to celebrate being loved up on Valentines Day. Me? Well I’m ready to celebrate my birthday next week!

Kicking things off, I’ve opened my first gift – a gorgeous matching Quirky Circus set from my lovely friends at The Rumour Mill. I guess there’s an upside to turning a year older and this year its in the form of fashion.

Just a reminder ladies, now is the perfect time to bust out those gorgeous matching sets, because in another 27 days those autumn pieces will be on rotation!

I have the spirit of a sunshine queen as I wear my new Quirky Circus Daisy Girl Playsuit, in this balmy 30 degree Brisbane heat. Simply made for a cheeky summer getaway, this piece is perfect to romp around the beach in, as it’s lightweight fabric is very summer friendly. If that isn’t enough reason to have this piece in your life (and packed neatly into your suitcase), then imagine just how adorable this print will look in all those polaroid pictures! There certainly is a happy vibe that stems from a daisy and I cannot help but smile while wearing it!

Keeping things fresh, I’m enhancing the white colour palette with a classic white point, my favourite little Wittner bargain! Did I mention these little bad boys are on sale? Looking to keep accessories neutral and to a minimum given the vibrant print, I gravitate to my two favourite Oroton staples, a textured, tanned clutch and a tortoise-shell cuff; two timeless pieces that are constantly on rotation due to their versatility…
