Replacing the usual heels with sand between my toes as The Blonde Silhouette goes coastal. With all the gorgeous weather and glorious public holidays, Erin Smith Photography and I packed a few of our cutest accessories and headed south for some relaxation, Byron Bay style. Perhaps it was the swirled ocean-like pattern (seen in my new DFO Jindalee purchase) that lead me to the water, but either way bare feet, salty water and ocean breezes had me escaping the stress of the city and embracing my inner water spirit.

I’m not your average shopper, would you believe? I treat my shopping experiences like a war zone, focused on the mission, I’m in and out with the goods in a speedy fashion. Despite this defence, there is one store that I can be found spending xxxxx amount of time (and $$$), browsing till my little retail therapy heart is content….and I’ll give you a clue- it’s Cue. Chic, sophisticated and always on trend, I could very easily reduce my wardrobe down and devote my loyalty to Cue.

Very picky about my shopping, I always find that the Cue store at DFO Jindalee, offers me variety through stocking new seasonal Cue pieces and additional favourites from the Cue In The City sub-brand. Just last week I managed to score the most intricate, patterned, asymmetrical wrap dress made of of jacquard fabric at DFO Jindalee Cue. Not only was I totally won over this spectacular statement piece, but the service of the friendly staff was superb. Girls do yourself a favour and make the Cue store at DFO Jindalee a soon-to-be visit!

The One The Only

While my previous post detailed my #ootd from The One The Only Spring Summer Fashion Launch, this post details my most favourite moments from the runway. The multi dimensional runway show, combined 20 leggy Dally’s models and one completely fabulous international model, Samantha Harris, in a live runway, projected in a real-time performance, interspersed with pre-recorded footage of additional stylish looks. Lusting over new seasonal pieces by Camilla, Scanlan Theodore, Carla Zampatti, Oroton and more, the show highlighted luxe fabrics, bold and bright prints and dreamy silhouettes. To say the show was spectacular is an understatement, rather it was aesthetically beautiful and very fashion forward, particularly for the city of Brisbane.

A super stylish guest list saw the attendance of some of my favourite Brisbane bloggers, or otherwise the “Fash Pack.” While our style is what separates us, our similar behaviour traits saw us snapping and instagraming our favourite looks, posing for pics and gossiping post show…If this is something you assimilate with- you can definitely sit with us!

Poison

Dream a little dream, I find myself wishing for that shiny black envelope embossed with the Vogue signature, inviting me to a fabulous party with a superstar guest list…and then one day it arrives, in the form of #theonetheonly Spring Summer Fashion Launch presented by Vogue Australia (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram) and Indooroopilly Shopping Centre (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram). Suddenly I’m fangirling (HARD) spying Tara Moss and Edwina McCann a mere 5 metres away from me, with Samantha Harris looming above mid strut down the runway…it’s a little bit exciting.

Finding that perfect outfit is always the dilemma faced by fashionista’s alike. We don’t all have access to that envied celebrity stylist or a fairy godmother to whip out some styling magic, but this Cinderella kept it classic in a LBD. A little organza, a little sheer and a touch of satin and I’m feeling rather fancy in my Koogal Poison Black Sheer Back Dress. It’s sexy- which is definitely out of my comfort zone, however the high neck and full bodied skirt maintains my conservative nature. Girls, I definitely recommend having a little peek at all the new arrivals to Koogal, liking the Facebook Page, following the stylish Instagram at @koogallove and Twitter. Thank me later!

Of course these events are not nearly as much fun without someone lovely to share it with, so I took my number one girl, the fabulous Erin Smith Photography.
