Endless Summer Vibes and Staycations at The Ville

Nothing says endless summer vibes quite like sprawling coastal views, a crisp ocean breeze and palm trees a plenty, Townsville certainly provides the perfect spot for a staycation. In a bid to escape Winter, the boyfriend (a Townsville native) and I checked into paradise and perhaps the most instagrammable resort in North Queensland, The Ville.

From sunset soirees overlooking the Coral Sea, to exotic island adventures, I present a fabulous little guide to turn on Townsville’s best staycations at The Ville.

Bougie Breakfasts

For those that like to start their morning with a decadent spread of breakfast delicacies, The Ville’s room service menu does not disappoint. My blissful weekend started with a three stack serve of buttery pancakes, complimented by Chantilly cream and garnished with fresh fruit. A side of Coconut Granola remained a favourite from the breakfast menu, which was demolished almost instantly.

A bougie staycation calls for a wardrobe to match, so I’m making a statement with my personalised sleepwear from Homebodii. Inherently feminine from their intricate laced robes to romantic cami ensembles, Homebodii curates sleepwear destined for more than sweet dreams. They’ve basically changed my loungewear aesthetic, because if it’s not satin stamped with my initials, then I just won’t have it any other way!

Revel In Resort Wear

With an infinity pool boasting panoramic views of Magnetic Island and beyond and a swim-up Splash Bar equipped with summer inspired cocktails, you’re due for some serious relaxation by the pool.

Swap the sarong for a dreamy kaftan to simply drape over yourself whilst poolside. I’m adorning the Czarina Once In A Blue Moon Kaftan Dress, which highlights a beautiful oceanic colour palette and ornate crystal applique detailing. This little vacay essential will take me from beach to bar with the addition of strappy sculptured heels and a splash of golden accessories.

Cocktails at the Quarterdeck

Sunset and spectacular views of the Coral Sea, here’s a cheers to The Ville’s Quarterdeck which presents the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink. Frock up in something bold and bright like this Mossman Scarlett Set, as this swanky bar draws a stylish crowd. Savour some light tapas and ask the waitstaff to surprise you with an off the menu cocktail – you won’t be disappointed, trust me!

Escapes to the [Magnetic] Island

If your chasing an island day trip and windswept summer hair, then a quick ferry ride takes you straight to Magnetic Island. My recommendation is to live out your Lizzie McGuire moment dashing from beach to beach on a scooter. A S/O to Road Runner Scooter Hire who provided the hook ups for a scooter matched perfectly to my outfit for the gram.

Make sure to capture memories using the Fuji Instax mini Link Printer, which simply prints your favourite snaps in super cute instax form. Little does boyfie know, these will soon be adorning the fridge, frames and any other spots throughout the apartment.

Let’s be honest, we never need a reason for a staycation and if your based in Queensland, now is the perfect time to indulge in a little mini break with the beau, a trip with the girl gang or some solo R&R. For all bookings and enquiries for staycations at The Ville, please visit the website for details. In the mean-time, you know where to find me, cocktail in hand!

Zara Striped Dress With Bow, Wittner Floyd Sandals, Molten Store The Melancholy Earrings, Le Specs Fluxus Sunglasses.

I speak on behalf of all Australian women (assumedly) when I say that the Zara #DearAustralia movement was an absolute game changer (*insert praise emoji). Since it’s release, I’ve been shopping up a storm, but today I’m highlighting my pick of the mix, showcasing my favourite seasonal staple, the Striped Shirt Dress.

This garment has seen me through a variety of fashionable moments, helping me to sashay into the workplace and taking me from desk to dinner with the girls. What I love this piece is its relaxed form, cinched with a bow at the waist. Of course the puff sleeves, collared neckline and oversized buttons certainly add to it’s charm.

Team this frock with a pair of block heels for those dressier moments, or slip on a slide and head straight to brunch. In this case, it’s time for a quick coffee before heading back to the office.

Ladies, have you ventured onto the Zara app? What has caught your eye? Let me know if the comments!

French Connection Frill Babydoll Dress, Wittner Cicily Mule, Adorne Oriental Floral Satin Clutch, Adorne Alexa Small Hoop Ball Earrings, Le Specs Sunglasses (similar style here).

There’s a certain femininity about a babydoll dress with it’s iconic empire waistline. There are so many design elements I love about this garment; the full bodied silhouette of the relaxed shift and billowing sleeves, the lace detailing and pom pom trim and those tassels! Then there’s the colour, that buttery, vibrant shade of marigold, the perfect palette for summery soirees.

Proving that rose gold really is the way to my heart, I instantly fell in love with these metallic mules from Wittner, further complimented by the same tone of these Adorne hoops. As you’ve seen in my recent posts, I have a penchant for statement clutches and this oriental, satin clutch from Adorne is a real showstopper. The final accessory worth mentioning are these luxe mirrored lenses by Le Specs.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Dainty Sneakers, Le Specs Fluxus Sunglasses, Lulu & Rose Dress (available in-store), Adorne Clutch (arriving soon), Adorne Tassel Earrings (arriving soon).

This may shock and astound you, but up until now, I haven’t owned a pair of sneaks. I know – I’m weird and far too accustomed to heels it seems. But in my quest to build the quintessential European dream wardrobe, I figured a pair of sneaks is definitely necessary.

First stop, Glue Store, delivering the goods with this fresh pair of Converse sneakers. I do love this style, because just like the name they are extremely dainty on the foot, remaining simple and classic with metallic detailing seen in the rose gold eyelets. When styling these sneaks I still want to convey my feminine charm, so I’m teaming them with a relaxed, monochrome dress, also from Glue.

To complete the look I’ve opted for the cutest little tassel earrings and a celestial clutch, both of which are part of new season Adorne. But nothing says chic like a pair of 90’s inspired (hello Sarah Michelle Gellar!) noir sunglasses. Sharp, sleek and speaking sass in volumes.

Ladies, if you’re on the hunt for a pair of sneaks, or perhaps a cute ensemble, I would definitely suggest checking out Glue’s new arrivals, because there’s a little trinket for all!
