White On White For Diner en Blanc

What began as a little Parisian tradition, has travelled throughout the world, encompassing an all white dress code, an elite guest list and a secretive location for a stylish rendezvous. Of course, I’m talking about non other, than the prestigious Diner en Blanc.

I’m starting my outfit prep for the white on white dress code, favouring clean lines and longer hemlines. Trading a frock for a two piece, I cannot go past this sophisticated skirt and blouse from Seed Heritage. Teaming with a touch of gold seen in my accessories, I’m ready to sparkle and shine throughout the fancy evening.
What’s on your all white edit? As a first time attendee to Diner en Blanc, I would absolutely love your stylish tips so please leave me note in the comment below!

There’s nothing quite as fresh, as the clean lines seen in a stripe print, especially when the print involves a classic, neutral colour scheme like navy and white. I’ve been living in this little number all season – having styled it with a denim jacket on particularly cool days, or leaving it to it’s own devices and teaming it with neutral accessories.

Of course it was the perfect choice on this particular morning, which called for coffee in the mid morning sunshine. Styling with a little pair of tan ankle boots and a matching floppy hat, I’m really loving it’s effortless, casual vibe and relaxed fit – the perfect weekend outfit!

Steamy temperatures call for light summer frocks, especially when you are spending the day outside in the sunshine. I’m taking in my daily Vitamin D while wearing this whimsical, crisp white and navy patterned dress, a little piece that caught my eye whilst window shopping.

If you’re wondering what makes this little shift the perfect summer dress, then I can provide you with it’s three pro’s!

  1. The lightweight cotton is extremely breathable and light, not to mention it feels soft against my skin.
  2. The relaxed neckline and tie back makes this style super comfortable to wear.
  3. The tie waist creates shape within this shift, making it a flattering style.

If you haven’t already, it’s about time you added a little white frock with some sort of variation to your wardrobe. Don’t forget to team it with some block heels and a cross body bag for that effortless yet chic vibe.

It doesn’t take a genius to spot that I have a bit of an obsession with neutrals at the moment, particularly within the “off white” category. With ivory, off white & cream outfits on high rotation, I’m finding the warmer tones more flattering on my fair skin than stark white – a realisation most porcelain beauties can relate to.

When it comes to the basics, I cannot go past a versatile skirt with a fitted form, and this Wish Focus Skirt definitely ticks the right boxes. To help out my lady friends, I’ve done a style comparison, finding some great alternatives to this piece, in slightly different cuts, patterns and pricing. I recommend this asymmetrical skirt, horizontal stripe split skirt, and this pencil skirt.

Because I love uniformity, I’m teaming my striped skirt with an ivory top to create a matched set. I’m loving the revival of fringing and have added three fringed finds to the wish list, courtesy of Shopbop: J.O.A. Fringe Crop, Emma Cook Mia Top, Rebecca Taylor Silk Fringe Crop Top.

For ivory, off white & cream outfits, I always accessorise with a deeper colour, and find the combination of rose gold and black leather, as seen in this Eminence Collection Timepiece a perfect choice. On my other wrist, I’ve added a bold, monochrome anchor bracelet, also from Eminence Collection, which introduces a subtle nautical theme. Keeping the rest of my jewellery simple, I’ve gone with a delicate Samantha Wills circular pendant, matched with rose gold studs.

Do you have a little tip for when styling ivory, off white & cream outfits? If so I’de love to hear it in the comments below. Here’s to an exciting summer ahead! x
