One thing that excites me in the fashion world, is the journey of emerging local designers. Lexi Wittke creator and designer of Evelyn Curtis, is right up the top of my “to watch list” with her beautiful feminine cuts, floaty floral fabrics and highly chic designs. I recently modelled for her spring lookbook with fellow blogger/model Claire Nada from Fashion’s Sweethart. Teaming with talented photographer, Elise Walsh and MUA Haley McGregor, our day comprised of shooting against clear blue skies and crystal water, reciting mean girls lines and enjoying cute, customised cupcakes- it’s fair to say, I love my job! Capulet Bar is the Brisbane fashion hotspot for a Friday night, hosting it’s third heat of the Fashion Friday’s competition among young Brisbane designers. Just like every other Brisbane fashionista, my night started with a Facebook checkin and ended with some selfies, somewhere in the middle I managed to snap some pics for the blog and socialise with the blogger fash pack. Red brick buildings, busy sidewalks and secretive alleyways- it certainly feels very “Manhattan” in Tenerife! With perfect weather and a new dress and handbag to celebrate, I strolled the streets of Tenerife with the very talented Erin Smith Photography, snapping my every move like a true paparazzi. With an eye for detail and excitement for bold, red features, she transformed the trendy Brisbane hotspot into an Upper-East Side setting- spotting the most amazing backgrounds on location. While specialising in wedding photography, Erin’s perspective on the fashion landscape is refreshing, highly chic and well, fabulous! We had so much fun scouting, giggling and sex-and-the-city reminiscing, all that seemed to be missing were the cosmos!

While I love my Louis Vuitton Neverfull– so much so it barely leaves my shoulder, my current adoration is for my new, vintage Louis Vuitton Concorde handbag. This particular bag was lovingly made in France, in March of 1998, meaning it is just one year older than me! This goes to show that not only is it a highly durable bag, a result of its high quality canvas structure, but it is also a rare collectable. I think I can safely say there are very few of these walking around in 2013 … don’t I just feel a bit special!

While a few of these are available via Ebay, I purchased this from my favourite little luxury resellers, Designer Archives. Located in the Wintergarden, Designer Archives is a treasure trove of preloved designer pieces, stocking highly exclusive pieces embedded with a wealth of history and 100% authenticity – (definitely an ease of mind knowing you are buying from a reputable source). With each visit I find something fabulous for value; a Chanel purse, Giuseppe Zanotti crystallised boots, Jimmy Choo’s straight from the runway- it’s an economic saving for a lifelong investment!

With a structured, mini brief-case form and classic monochrome print, this beautiful creation presents a timeless piece! I love it’s potential versatility as both a day and night accessory. A little styling project for my upcoming mid semester break… Stay tuned for it’s first adventure.
