With Gigi Hadid on the brain, I’m turning to staples, for that effortless “Model Off Duty” vibe. Emphasising long limbs and collar bones, I’m adding a flared jean to my shopping edit, along with an off the shoulder top in a relaxed vertical stripe print. For a little extra height, I’ve found the perfect low maintenance flatform with an espadrille base. Toning down the accessories, I’ve chosen a few pieces that highlight a neutral tan and silver combination, because every girl needs a little sparkle, even if its in the hardware. Complete this look with a messy top knot, and a nude lip and voila, you ready to join Gigi’s squad.

Getting back to blues roots, folk and country music with the Tamworth Country Music Festival in full strum (see what I did there ;), I’m channelling a more ethereal spirit in my festival #ootd, thanks to Asos – who is serving up the goods.

When it comes to dressing for a festival, I always prefer a little more fabric and femininity and a little less denim cut offs – what can I say? I’m a girl who has her style mantra down pat! For me, this means finding a whimsical maxi dress with breathability and a cute print. Wear flats, you’ll be on your feet all day and you’ll want to be comfortable. Trust me, there’s a pair of sandals stowed in my other bag.
Keep your trinkets safe with a cross body bag. Ain’t nobody got time to carry a clutch around.
Throw shade with some killer frames…because squinting in your polaroids is passee.
Keep a hat handy, not only do felt hats up your cool factor, but they remain 100% sun safe.
Don’t forget the sunscreen! After all, there’s nothing more stylish then healthy, glowing skin.

Summer Romancin’ with Marcs

This summer season I’m being romanced by floral patterns, crisp summer whites and ivories, delicate and breathable fabrics, and just about anything with lace! It is of no surprise that I am completely smitten by Marcs’ latest drop of summer staples, as they encompass femininity and elegance.

Styling a summer friendly Marcs two piece, I’m finding the much needed comfort and cool factor (totally suitable for 30 degree Brisbane weather) in this lace, organza blouse and floral mini skirt combo. Teamed with a chic, two-tone Wittner heel and a statement crystal choker by Elle Louise, this romantic look is perfect for a ladies high tea, or a riverfront dinner with a special date.

With the Golden Globes in full swing, Hollywood’s leading ladies are looking incredible in their couture and every bit the million dollar paycheque. From demure silhouettes to full scale sequins, watching these glam gowns walk the red carpet is my favourite part of the evening! Presenting my pick of the Golden Globes 2016 Best Dressed List.

Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabbana

Looking too perfect for words in her Dolce & Gabbana sequin emblazoned gown, Kate Bosworth emulates a modern day Evening Gown Barbie (in the best way possible). Highlighting the dress as her main feature, Kate styles a stunning drop earring with a sleek updo, hitting a sophisticated note.

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton

I’m loving the way this elegant Louis Vuitton gown falls gracefully, emphasising Alicia Vikander’s petite and feminine frame. Between the delicate fabric, demure high neck and cross over back, this dress is simply heavenly.

Giuliana Rancic in Alex Perry

Giuliana Rancic is spicing up the runway with this neon, cut-out Alex Perry number, which highlights her bronzed, flawless skin and toned bod. No doubt a flattering colour for this Italian beauty, but I’m captivated by what’s going on past the elbows. I think we can all agree that if anyone can pull off a dramatic cape sleeve, then it’s definitely Giuliana! Not to mention it’s amazing to see our home grown talent, iconic Australian designer Alex Perry gracing the red carpet, alongside international designers.

Zendaya in Marchesa

Zendaya sports a seductive shade of burgundy, seen in her three tiered Marchesa couture. Featuring ornate structure and embroidered floral texture, I am loving how she has teamed this bold number with a glamourous drop earring and hollywood waves.

Lady Gaga in Versace

Channelling a cross between Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe with her timeless LBD and pin curled hairstyle, Lady Gaga made a grand entrance on the red carpet. I adore the silhouette of her custom Versace gown, which highlights a structured off the shoulder bodice, cinched waist and column skirt. Glam as ever Gaga!
