First beauty post of the year is reserved for a little sneak peek sparkle, as I unveil an exciting drop of new beauty products! Napoleon Perdis, delivering the makeup goods as usual and helping me change my beauty game with some popping summer colours, shimmer and staples.

Napoleon Perdis Blush Patrol, Napoleon Perdis Rebirth Of Venus Skin Renewel Cleansing Oil, Napoleon Perdis Total Bae – Blush It! Cheeky,  Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer, Napoleon Perdis Peep Show Madame Beyond Mascara, Napoleon Perdis Neo Noir Liquid Eyeliner, Napoleon Perdis Divine Goddess Lipstick in Lynx and Erato.

I’ve gone into swatch mode at The Blonde Silhouette HQ, trying out the gorgeous new arrivals from Napoleon Perdis. Let’s start with the most exciting part of any beauty boudoir – lipsticks, lipstains and gloss. I’m primping my pout with 2 exciting shades from the Divine Goodess range, featuring a flirtatious fuchsia, Erato and a mysteriously cool mauve,  Lynx.

Next, I’m perfecting the art of the Cat Eye, with precision using the Neo Noir Liquid Eyeliner. Having tested this little beauty for a night on the town, I can vouch that this product allows for a seemly, effortless application and the colour is so deliciously dark black. Of course, no Cat Eye is complete without a heavy set lash, and the Peep Show Madame Beyond Mascara is a game changer for those lashes.

Another favourite of mine from this drop is the Total Bae- Blush It! Cheeky. With a name so perfectly fitting, this cheeky little cheek compact features a girlish, rosy rogue to bring that girl next door beauty to life.

One thing I can always expect from my favourite beauty brand, are products so perfectly packaged they look too good to use. Take this gorgeous, marbled blush compact, Blush Patrol. Featuring highly pigmented hues with a shimmery finish, this beautiful bronzer has been garnishing my cheeks for that fresh, “I just spent my summer in the Hamptons” glow.

I’ve recently fallen in love with a bustier – can you blame me? It’s a flirty little number, featuring a playful, tiered structure and boned bodice for support. Complete with a sweetheart neckline, an off the shoulder fit and a delicious polkadot print – this piece was simply made for summer getaways. Because, who doesn’t love showing off the latest freckles on your shoulders, whilst galavanting with the gals, Aperol Spritz in hand!

I’m teaming this little Seed Heritage find with straight up denim…. mini skirt that is! The first to enter my wardrobe since the nineties, believe it or not! I’ve since come to find that denim skirts are the perfect, effortless addition to your wardrobe and this little piece will be on constant rotation this season.

Before I leave you to find a cool breeze and a nip of bubbly, I want to know how you are styling a summer bustier? Are you keeping it chic with a casual getup? Or dressing one up for a night on the town? Leave me a comment below cuties!

My Top 5 Gowns from the Golden Globes 2017

alt="Golden Globes 2017"

Cue the Red Carpet Queens, the Golden Globes 2017 was every bit the glitz and glamour, showcasing an incredible array of couture! This year’s main trend spoke metallics, from silvery tones to embellished fabrics, the A-listers weren’t afraid to sparkle! Eying off my favourite gowns, I’ve rounded up the crème de la crème of couture, with my Top 5 Best Dressed!

Lily Collins in Zuhair Murad

lily-collins

Cinderella may have once owned the title, but Lily Collins was the Bell of the Ball in her duchess inspired Zuhair Murad gown. A vision in rose, her fairytale frock was a full skirted, tulle masterpiece, topped with delicate rose appliques. Did I mention it’s pink? Be still my heart! The modern day princess styled her ebony tresses in an elegant braided updo, while her makeup spoke sophistication with a classic crimson pout.

Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhuillier

Often known for her *controversial fashion choices, Drew Barrymore stepped out in Monique Lhuillier couture. Looking striking in silver, her gown highlighted a cold shoulder design complete with whimsical wing details. I’m totally caught up in the front panelling which draws attention to the intricate silver threading throughout the fabric. Drew finishes her look with adorning Harry Winston jewellery, proving she really is a girl after my own heart!

Giuliana Rancic in Rani Zakhem

giuliana-rancic

You can always count on Giuliana Rancic to show Hollywood how it’s done! This year she graces the red carpet in a Rani Zakhem creation, from his Fall/Winter 2017-2017 Collection. Like something from the Romantic Period, her gown features a beautiful, embellished floral print, which cascades into a volumised, A-line skirt, complete with a train. I love everything about this silhouette, including the sophisticated high neckline, further complimented by her elegant updo.

Emma Stone in Valentino

emma-stone

Feeling totally starry-eyed by La La Land’s leading lady, Emma Stone as she shimmers on the red carpet in this magical Valentino gown. The subtle blush colours works perfectly on her porcelain skin, while the starry embellished detail emulates old Hollywood glam. A plunging neckline highlights a spectacular Tiffany & Co drop choker, otherwise the perfect accessory for such an enchanting look.

Renee Bargh in Rachel Gilbert

renee-bargh

Perhaps the most playful dress on display at the 2017 Golden Globes, Renee Bargh makes a flirty appearance in this Rachel Gilbert number. I love the delicate and ethereal nature of the sheer overlay, as it highlights floral texture and beading. Pops of violet, lilac, coral and peach fall beautifully together, creating the illusion of a heavenly flower field. Simply divine!

Birkenstock Gizeh Birko – Flor White, Trenery Fine Striped Shirt Dress, Lack Of Color The Spencer Wide Brimmed Boater.

Let me be the first to say, I never thought I’de be the girl strolling through the city in a pair of Birkenstocks. But despite their seemingly practical appearance, they are without a doubt the comfiest sandals I have ever worn. So here are my top tips to styling Birkenstocks.

1. Firstly, invest in a pair of neutral Birkenstocks that have stylistic versatility. I absolutely love white Birkenstocks as they are the freshest option for summer, and still remain quite feminine.

2. Style your Birkenstocks with something tailored yet relaxed for that chic summer #ootd. I’m pulling out a shirt dress in a muted print, with this particular frock from Trenery. I also love the look of straight, wide leg pants with a playful off the shoulder top, styled casually with a pair of Birks.

3. Accessories should convey summery vibes, like this classic Lack Of Colors Spencer Boater. Not a hat wearer? No problems! Why not opt for an oversized pair of tortoise shell shades or style with a statement tote.

4. There’s no hiding a bad pedicure, so make sure your tootsies are freshly shaped and painted. I’m all about soft, pastel colours like this Pretty Pink shade by OPI. Two coats needed and a top coat – don’t forget it!

I would love to hear any tips you girls might have for how you style your Birkenstocks – please leave a comment below!
