Lips, Cheeks & Peepers: Summer Makeup Edit

If there’s one thing I love about summer beauty, it’s achieving that healthy, shimmery glow! I’ve been doing some legit “makeup research” by experimenting with a new beauty routine and adding new, exciting products to my makeup kit! Whether you are after the perfect sun kissed bronzer, or a pink lippy that pops, here’s a bunch of summer makeup products you simply NEED!

For Eyes

Prepare to see a return of the shimmer! I’ve developed a bit of a metallic quad obsession, highlighting shimmery nudes, pastels and charcoals. With the rise in nude lip looks, I’de recommend putting a little more emphasis on the peepers with a classic, shimmery, smokey eye. You’ll see me blending:

For Lips

I never thought I’de say this, but I’m really into the whole Kylie Jenner nude lip, so much so that I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick to enhance my fair skin. I’m officially calling of the search party because I’ve found the most flattering pink-base nude lippy from Stefan. *Insert praise emoji*

Of course, I haven’t forgotten my signature colour – pink, and I’ve added two new shades to the collection, with a slick gloss and lip shine!

For Cheeks

Now that I’ve mastered the contour and illuminating process, I’m concentrating on the apples of my cheeks, favouring warm terracotta bronzers and soft, subtle blushes, to get that glow! How To Wear: The Shirt Dress

I’m having a love affair with my new St Frock Riviera Shirt Dress, otherwise known as summer’s little essential! With a intricate, European inspired print in a white and blue colour palette, this little number is light and airy, providing the perfect foundation to a casual getup.

Easy to style, and even more so to wear, I would recommend teaming this piece with a two-tone neutral heel or espadrille sandal. After all, you cannot wear a shirt dress without taking a stylish stroll in the sunlight. These little Wittner stilettos will be on rotation this summer, as I pull out the pastels, florals and all white outfits!

In keeping with the European twist, I’ve styled my new clutch that mummy bought me back from her holiday to Italy; a fashionable find in the Isle of Capri. A clash of prints is seen with the two contrasting patterns, however the unified white and tan tones keep things balanced.

A splash of gold seen in my accessories add the final touch to this chic ensemble. Now I just need to plan my own European adventure. Ciao! x

Melbourne Cup Fashion: How To Wow!

I’m totally geared up for this year’s Melbourne Cup, and while I’ll be bringing the trackside glamour to my office (#girlboss), I’m excited to share with you fashionista’s, my tips and tricks to looking fabulous on the field in 4 simple steps!

1. The Feminine Frock

When it comes to Melbourne Cup fashion, I like to keep things classic and feminine, which is reflected in my choice of dress. Since Seduce dropped their latest spring collection, I have been lusting over this little monochromatic number, the Alexa dress. From the sheer panelled bodice, to the lacey hemline, this piece becomes the perfect little races ensemble, allowing for versatility in the choice of headwear and accessories. 2. Striking Headwear

Fascinators, headbands and hats – oh my! It’s a tough choice to decide upon the perfect headwear for your outfit, but I recommend going for something striking! Think texture, colour or structure, but make sure your headwear harmonises with the rest of your ensemble. The trends predicted for this year’s Melbourne Cup headwear include metallic crowns, smaller structured hats and veils. I’m taking my inspiration from Jen Hawkins, who graced the Myer racewear lookbook wearing a lace veiled fascinator – HOT! I’m also lusting over a few pieces from Shopbop’s hair accessories category, perfect for the low maintenance pony.

3. Bold Lips

When it comes to beauty, one of the quickest ways to create that racing WOW factor, is with a bright, bold kisser. The latest lip range from Napoleon Perdis highlights vibrant pinks and candy corals, with sheer, glossy finishes. I myself am going for the classic red lip to enhance my porcelain skin (and match my killer mani of course).

4. Bring The Bling

Curating a stand out outfit requires attention to detail, and your choice of jewellery helps to add the final sparkle. Layered rings and fine pendants are very on trend this season, and Pandora’s Magnificent Kingdom collection features some exquisite pieces, so layer up ladies!

Ladies Who Love High Tea: Tea & Niceties

A simple Sunday calls for a girly getaway, where I pack a light handbag (in this case my new Michael Kors) and escape busy Brisbane. For this little adventure, my friend Jess and I drove to the gorgeous Mt Tamborine, where we took in the beautiful views of the Hinterland, surrounded ourselves in fresh flora and enjoyed a leisurely high tea at Tea & Niceties.

For such a ladylike occasion, I dress accordingly, wearing a feminine, lacy number from St Frock, teamed with golden, floral gems from Pandora’s Magnificent Kingdom collection. As for my beauty routine, I’m keeping it sweet, simple with a hint of girl next door glam, with soft waves and neutral tones.

After spicy tea variations, with two sugar cubes and sweets, I’m swapping my seat for a gentle stroll throughout the garden, embracing a whimsical spirit and enjoying the delicate florals. The pinky tones of the setting sun, make a scenic backdrop for the drive home, ending a beautiful day. Bisous, bisous!
