I wouldn’t usually call myself a “Cool Girl” but give me a fedora, a pair of black shades and some croc leather booties and I’ll give it a whirl…I am if not adaptable and with a cool girl outfit, comes a cool girl attitude! Who doesn’t love a bit of sass?

I’m finishing off my “Cool Girl” look by layering on the bling and these beautiful pieces by Pandora certainly add a little sparkle to the monochrome colour palette. Although my favourite piece from this little collection would be the stunning, Shimmering Rose Pendant that falls gently against my dress…because every cool girl needs a little femininity.

Lady Primrose

So here’s a little secret, I don’t separate my wardrobe by seasons. Ok, so it’s not a particularly juicy secret, but it happens to be true. Reason? Because I believe just about any item of clothing can be transitional and transeasonal. Take this floral St Frock number. Add one denim jacket and a pair of ankle boots (or heels in my case) and voila, the perfect outfit for the Australian winter season.

As a lover of florals, it is no surprise that I was drawn to this adorable three piece Primrose motif, exclusive to Pandora. Did you know that the Primrose is the earliest flower to emerge in Europe’s spring? The name Primrose is derived from the latin “prima rosa”, meaning first rose – how romantic! I’m not usually one to wear matching jewellery, but upon seeing the dainty pendant, ring and earrings, I just knew I had to snap up the set! Seeing these pieces styled, I love the consistency of the Primrose theme, along with the delicacy of these pieces, which certainly compliments the busy floral print. Spring Is Calling

It might be the first day of Australia’s winter season, but I’m feeling like a Spring Fling Queen in my new Quirky Circus frock. Featuring a muted colour palette of mint and pastel, this floral number is light and fresh, allowing for a beautiful contrast against a chunky knit or cardigan. This little Stella Furry Cardi reminds me of a cross between Clueless’s IT girl, Cher and a marshmallow, so naturally I had to buy it (plus it happens to be on sale- mega win!)

Silent Movie

It’s amazing to think that you can live in one town your whole life, walk by the same spot and remain blissfully unaware of the beauty around you. It’s something I’m sure we are all guilty of. I recently watched one of my favourite movies, “Singing In The Rain” and suddenly, I’m fixating upon this gorgeous little courtyard in the Brisbane CBD. I see a lamppost, a moonlit path (sadly no Gene Kelly) and suddenly I feel like I too am in a dreamy, silent movie.

Of course, I have prepared for the occasion with a sophisticated ensemble; high necks and longer hemlines remain consistent with the classy women of the silver screen. My pointy stilettos, while they don’t resemble a tap shoe, make a soft click clack on the pavement…a fashionable beat indeed!
