Marcs Crane Game Silk Dress, Lucy Cardigan, Wittner Otto Heel, Miss Monogram Pouch, Bowerhaus Bracelet (similar style here), Michael Hill Freshwater Pearl Stud Earrings.

Feeling quite the little lady as I prance around in this gorgeous new Marcs arrival! There’s no doubt about it, this brand really gets me and my love for cheeky little dresses. Like this number, it’s light and breezy, creating the perfect little flutter in the springtime breeze and keeping me feeling cool. Plus, it’s covered in the most adorable crane print. Très chic!

Channelling a flirty 50’s vibe, I’m teaming this frock with a pink lady inspired cardigan, highlighting flamingos! Who would have thought I’de style 2 birds in 1 outfit!

In keeping with the retro theme, I’ve styled a messy, french twist updo, further complimented by a bold pink pout! Feeling ultra fabulous to say the very least.

What makes you feel like a fabulous woman? Is it fresh print or a fierce pair of heels. Leave me a little love note in the comments below! x

Cue In The City Sketched Floral Ottoman Dress (available at Harbour Town), Tony Bianco Heels (similar style here), The Daily Edited Pale Pink Pouch and Phone Case, Ted Baker Bag Pom (similar style here), Pandora Signature Ring, Pandora Blush Pink Poetic Droplet Ring, Pandora Timeless Elegance Ring, Pandora Bow Earrings, Pandora Bracelet with Charms, Karen Walker Sunglasses.

Surprisingly, this little Brisbanite doesn’t get down to the Gold Coast very often, but when she does, you can bet she’ll make a sneaky visit to Harbour Town. I had a fabulous day amongst the racks of my favourite Harbour Town hotspots including, Furla, Michael Kors, Seed Heritage, Review and Portmans. I walked away delighted with this super feminine Cue In The City number, comprising of a sketched floral print, structured silhouette and playful, pleated skirt. What I love about this piece is that it’s perfect for corporate life, teamed with patent pumps, or can be dressed up with a pair of stilettos.

I’m really feeling rose gold tones at the moment, opting for some sparkle from my favourite jewellery brand, Pandora. My favourite piece happens to be the Signature Ring – that statement pavé feature is nothing short of spectacular. A final touch of luxe is seen in my personalised pouch and phone case from The Daily Edited. O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D.

Love what I’m wearing? I’ve rounded up my favourite finds for you to shop directly. Enjoy fashionistas!

Cassandra Harper Ruffle Dress, Marilyn Van Den Berg The Black Queen Crown, Skagen Gold Watch (similar style here), Tony Bianco Heels (similar style here),  Michael Hill Ring (similar style here).

Keeping to the classics, with a spectacular silky number from local Brisbane designer, Cassandra Harper. After all, that’s what the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival is all about – classics and supporting homegrown talent! I adore this piece entirely, from it’s playful ruffled sleeves, to it’s asymmetrical hemline. Constructed from a luxe silk chiffon, this frock is lightweight and dreamy, with it’s fabric cascading gently from the tie waist.

Such a piece deserves equally opulent accessories, with none so fitting as this statement Marilyn Van Den Berg crown. I seriously feel like fashion royalty wearing this fabulous piece, perhaps it’s statement status was the reason I was issued to the FROW of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival McKinney’s Group Show. Just kidding, this Queen was born to sit FROW and feast on fashion.

Ted Baker Jumpsuit Collared Jumpsuit, Skin Footwear Eagle Rose Gold Heels, Jacket Vintage, Swarovski Flash Pierced Earrings, Swarovski Ring (similar style here), Pandora Rose Alluring Brilliant Ring, Oroton Bag (similar style here), Michael Kors Blair Pave Rose Gold-tone Watch.

The streets of Brisbane are rampant with stylish, fashionistas as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival (or MBFF) kicks off at the iconic Old Government House. Understandably, it can be difficult to stand out amongst such a stylish crew, so add a new spin on a timeless trend – the all black ensemble. Presenting a how to guide, to making all black outfits striking!

1. Start with a strong silhouette, featuring clean lines and crisp finishes, like this Ted Baker Collared Jumpsuit. It’s perfectly structured with it’s plunging collar, belted waist and tapered pants. My favourite feature? The rose gold hardware.

2. Don’t underestimate the power of a jacket! Whilst often layering can overshadow a fabulous piece, the right jacket can make the look. I found this spectacular, embellished jacket while trawling through a high end, vintage boutique and immediately fell in love. This garment adds the right amount of texture and sparkle to enhance an all black outfit.

3. Make your choice of accessories pop! A combination of rose gold accessories instantly lifts an all black colour palette, adding warmth to the outfit. I’ve maximised my use of metallics, opting for luxe, rose gold jewellery, a statement cross body bag and finishing with the same shade of metallic heels.

4. Keep the emphasis on your outfit, with sleek hair and makeup. Think a chic, slicked updo, like this nape of the neck knot and ensure all fly aways are maintained. As for makeup, I love the sophistication of an earthy, smokey eye, paired back with a matte, nude lip. Perfection!

How do you approach the timeless trend of all black outfits? I’de love to hear your tips and tricks in the comments below! Stay tuned to see some serious MBFF fashion in the next post!
